Sorry in advance if this post is long-winded. My suggestion is very specific, but I feel like it could be useful.
I feel like it should be possible to refresh the app folder structure while keeping the skins currently in memory open and running, allowing me to load a new config without refreshing every single skin I have loaded. Maybe a separate bang like !RefreshAppFolder or something?
For context: I'm working on a skin suite that mimics the behavior of Windows 7 gadgets, which allowed practically infinite gadgets to be added to the desktop instead of a fixed amount (this is useful for when you may want to have multiple weather skins for different cities, or have multiple clocks with different time zones). My custom launcher copies the config file, which is basically just a stub file that includes\references another file with the main code in another folder, then loads it. But it requires the app to be refreshed with the !RefreshApp bang to see them. This is really annoying since it refreshes every single loaded skin, sometimes crashing the app if the skin uses a WebParser.
This is an extreme example, but this is what happens when I have a ton of skins loaded (video):
