There really isn't a great solution. With Windows 11 24H2, if you don't have Location Sharing turned on, and more specifically, "Let desktop apps access your location", then WIFI information is not available.Hi everyone,
I've switched to Windows 11 and unfortunately have a small problem.
Rainmeter requires location sharing to correctly recognize the SSID and network card.
I have the latest version of Rainmeter installed.
As soon as I turn off location sharing, the information disappears. If I turn it back on, I see it again. Can this be changed? I didn't have these problems under Windows 10.

If you are concerned about security with Location Services turned on, be aware that they offset this by having a "location" icon appear in the system tray any time an app is accessing your location information, and if you hover over the icon, it will tell you specifically which apps are accessing it.
