I knew about the 1st method even if I didn't use it, but had no idea about the 2nd one, which is a nice workaround if the font doesn't support such a char. Both methods have some logic behind them, if you think about it, whether it's about displaying whatever the editing font and encoding allow, or splitting multiword numbers into word ones, though the latter is less intuitive.
