Not sure I like the FormatMultiline option though. It literally gets rid of new lines by replacing them with spaces.

Apparently this is intentional, according to the docs:

FormatMultiline=0 ; When Set to 1 then it will format string of muliplelines into one line.

Not sure why, but then... why not (as long as it's optional)?

EDIT:
On a second thought, if the option's purpose is to facilitate saving as a single line Rainmeter variable, the literal #CRLF# makes more sense than a space indeed.
