Anyway, hi all!

Regardless of whether the sidebar is written in HTML / JS, you don't necessarily need to know its code to replicate what it does in a Rainmeter skin. After all, it's not a word for word and instruction by instruction "conversion", you'd only need the skin to look and behave similarly.
What you will definitely need though is getting familiar with how a Rainmeter skin is coded and works, by checking the relevant bits from the manual:
